Security Officer - Hospital Job in Escondido, California

As a Security Officer - Hospital in Escondido, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You may assist with sensitive areas and individuals requiring intervention while providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies in a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, emergency situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, patient, and staff activity, reporting unusual conditions and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Have customer service experience, preferred.
- Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
