As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service. Pre-Employment Requirement: Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123)
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or authorized guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government installation.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor activity and/or incidents in required logs and reports.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports and communicate observations, hazards, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
