Security Officer - Swing Shift

As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, and support security-related operations through a visible presence and strong communication. This role offers the chance to help identify concerns, assist with routine patrols, and deliver customer service while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures, access screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a fast-paced distribution location.
- Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries entering designated areas, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related issues to site contacts and/or leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, screening areas, loading zones, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor entry points, verify credentials and/or approved access, and support orderly movement of people and materials throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
