Security Officer Armed Patrol Computer Operator Job in Jacksonville, Florida

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Computer Operator in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a critical utilities location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. This role calls for strong communication, sound judgment, and a commitment to exceptional customer service while working with a reliable, innovative team that leads with integrity and care.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or irregular conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity entering or exiting the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, access-related matters, and unusual occurrences.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have access control or badge experience preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
