Law Enforcement Officer: Armed Patrol Driver

As a Law Enforcement Officer: Armed Patrol Driver in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government airport location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Each LEO will possess the following minimum qualifications (NO EXCEPTIONS):
To be considered, all applicants must meet the following criteria:
- 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
- Valid Driver's License
- Law Enforcement Officer License
- 22+ years of age
Basic Qualifications: The basic qualifications listed below are representative of the relevant knowledge, skills, and/or experience required in order to be hired. These are requirements that we have determined are the minimum a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role.
Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:
Applicant must complete one of the following approved programs:
- 1. Certified State law enforcement recruit training.
- 2. Certified County law enforcement recruit training.
- 3. Federal law enforcement training.
- 4. Programs approved by the Director.
- 5. Each LEO will possess the following minimum qualifications:
- No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931 F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).
*A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Must be able to supervise Contractor’s personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.

- Shall have no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders which may interfere with performance of duties.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout terminals, roadways, parking areas, restricted access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and follow post orders related to controlled areas, asset protection, and public-facing operations.
- Support Allied Universal and site leadership by preparing incident reports, maintaining visible presence, and assisting with security-related concerns involving employees, passengers, and/or members of the public.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
