Security Officer Full Time Patrol Customer Service Job in Memphis, Tennessee

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Customer Service in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and direct delivery drivers and visitors according to location procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Document patrols, visitor activity, incidents, and other security-related observations in required logs and reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
