Security Officer Access Control Job in Monroe, Louisiana

As a Security Officer Access Control in Monroe, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Screener at a financial institution, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and support a positive experience for employees and guests. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Screen individuals and authorized items entering designated areas using established access-control and screening protocols, escalating prohibited or suspicious items in accordance with site procedures.
- Verify identification, visitor credentials, and authorization before permitting access to restricted areas, while maintaining accurate screening and visitor records.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, business spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
