Security Officer Patrol Ambassador

As a Security Officer Patrol Ambassador in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access activities, observe site conditions, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site policies, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
- Support daily operations at a manufacturing and industrial location by remaining visible, providing directions when needed, and communicating professionally with personnel, visitors, and first responders.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
