Security Officer Overnights Full Time Job in Richmond, Virginia

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Customer Assistance in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors and staff while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a government transportation facility by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following emergency response protocols when appropriate.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
