Security Officer Access Control Job in San Diego, California

As a Security Officer Access Control in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at an automotive location, you will manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations while supporting security-related needs. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vehicle renters by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points to vehicle rental and automotive operations, verifying authorized entry and exit of employees, visitors, vendors, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain accurate access-control records, including visitor, contractor, key, credential, and vehicle movement documentation as required by site policy.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, parking lots, vehicle storage areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
