Security Officer Armed Driver 40 Caliber Job in San Jose, California

As a Security Officer Armed Driver 40 Caliber in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a public transportation location, you will conduct visible patrols, drive assigned routes, respond to security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to riders, employees, and visitors. Your presence will help deter unwanted activity while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to transit employees, riders, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, stations, parking areas, perimeter areas, and adjacent grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and reporting requirements.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a 40 Caliber Endorsement.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
