Security Officer Patrol Alarm Event Assessment Job in San Jose, California

As a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Event Assessment in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and team members while supporting access control and alarm-response activities. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting maintenance concerns, suspicious conditions, and policy violations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
