Security Officer Access Screening

As a Security Officer Access Screening Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage access control, and support a professional, welcoming experience. This driving post combines visible presence, routine patrols, and clear communication to help reduce security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, control rooms, and/or operational spaces.
- Screen visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles in accordance with post orders, document activity in required logs, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, access issues, evacuations, and/or communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations to observe conditions and report security-related concerns, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
