What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout exhibit areas, lobbies, entrances, hallways, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor flow, helping to confirm that only authorized persons enter restricted areas while offering courteous directions and assistance.
- Support daily operations during public programs, special events, and high-traffic periods by observing surroundings, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and following post orders for the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience are preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
