Security Officer Full Time Screening Assessment Job in West Palm Beach, Florida

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Assessment in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener supporting a government location, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by screening individuals and belongings, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will use sound judgment, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and team members. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen individuals and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures before entry to the government location.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry credentials, and report prohibited items, irregularities, and access concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying supervisors and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Maintain accurate screening-related logs, incident reports, and required documentation while helping to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
