Security Officer Campus Mobile Patrol Job in Wilmington, North Carolina

As a Security Officer Mobile Response Driver in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, campus policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, checking credentials when required, and reporting unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
