Under the general direction of the GSOC Manager, serves as the Global Security Operations Center Supervisor; actively engaged in six critical operational areas: Access Control, Fire & Life Safety Systems, HVAC & Environmental, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Security Personnel, and Incident Intake & Documentation. The GSOC Operator also serves as the primary contact and liaison for monitoring Corporate Facilities and Retail Centers; responsible for analyzing incidents and providing immediate response to appropriate mitigation procedures while maintaining Business Continuity. The GSOC Operator directs Security Officers and Support Staff; providing critical information needed to respond to incidents, and bring closure in conjunction to pre-established policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. Position requirements are provided below.

Duties & Requirements:

  • Traditional security operation center functions focused on monitoring, alerting, initial triage, anomaly and alarm management response and the single intake (e.g., employee emergency communication channels) of and reporting of security incidents.
  • Emergency management and critical incident management focused on direct response plan activation support, coordination with the response team leaders from the major disciplines and risk owners, bi-directional communication leveraging technology for mass notification/emergency notification, and similar.
  • Risk, threat, and vulnerability (RTV) analysis with a strong focus on global, real-time situational awareness and risk assessment for our team members and customers; corporate security intelligence and information sharing aligned with the business’ needs.
  • Traditional security operation center functions focused on monitoring, alerting, initial triage, anomaly and alarm management response and the single intake (e.g., employee emergency communication channels) of and reporting of security incidents.
  • Drives process implementation and improvement, manages short and long-term projects, maintains, and enhances internal and external stakeholder relationships and directly supervises a team on 24-7 assigned shifts.
  • Manages the performance of RTV assessments; determines deviations from acceptable indicators, triggers, and tripwires; aids in the assessment of the level of risk; develops and/or recommends appropriate risk adaptation or mitigation countermeasures. Aids the risk owners in identifying and remediating risks in a timely manner.
  • Extract essential information and analysis from a variety of sources and synthesize the information into actionable reports
  • Prepare graphs, charts (link analysis, event flow analysis, activity charting), tables and other illustrative devices for visual presentation of data
  • Support a cross functional team in participating in full spectrum risk analysis and threat assessment application and communication
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team; select, develop, coach, reward and recognize team members to ensure the vision and goals of the department are obtained
  • Create and maintain a weekly work schedule for 24/7 coverage of the GSOC. As needed, back-up other Supervisors or security staff to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Coordinates the daily activities of security professionals. Monitors call volume, alarm response and incident reports to ensure the appropriate level of service. When necessary, will need to demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the roles assigned to them.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years relevant experience; or equivalent professional experience in a GSOC or similar role
  • Previous experience in Intelligence analysis and or watch officer skill set in the intelligence community, the military, law enforcement, or a related global security role in the private sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing an operational security strategy in a large, complex, multinational, and diverse environment with successful outcomes
  • Analytical and report writing skills: MS Word, MS Excel.
  • Proven ability to operate efficiently and effectively in a high-pressure time sensitive environment.
  • Proven ability to research and consolidate information from different sources.
  • Ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and prioritizing accordingly.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:
