As a Security Officer - School Site/Front Desk in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Campus Security Officer in an educational setting, you will be stationed at the main entrance, greeting visitors and monitoring access to the building. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents and provides a welcoming point of contact for students, staff, and guests. You will communicate clearly, respond to inquiries, and support a positive environment by upholding company values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Position Type: Full Time - Overnights

Pay Rate: $15.91 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors at the front desk, providing a welcoming presence.
• Carry out security procedures and follow site-specific policies relevant to an educational environment.
• Monitor access to the building, verifying identification and managing visitor logs as required.
• Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Communicate with campus personnel and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Maintain awareness of activities in the lobby and entry areas to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering directions or information about the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card required.
• Minimum of 2 years of security experience required.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possession of a Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• COVID and FLU vaccinations required at this site.
