Security Shift Supervisor - Healthcare Environment

As a Security Shift Supervisor - Healthcare Environment in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more.

The Shift Security Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. The Security Shift Supervisor will act as a liaison between site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager and professional security officers. Supervise staff on assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range.

Position Type: Full Time & Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.30 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting;
• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
• Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Greet and assist patients, staff, and visitors at the front desk, providing a welcoming presence.
• Carry out security procedures and follow site-specific policies relevant to an healthcare environment.
• Monitor access to the building, verifying identification and managing visitor logs as required.
• Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Communicate with healthcare facility personnel and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Maintain awareness of activities in the lobby and entry areas to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering directions or information about the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card required upon hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of security experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possession of a Guard Card/License is preferred upon interview/offer.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
