Allied Universal Technology Services® is hiring a Service Technician to drive our mission of being the world's most trusted service provider. The technician will perform service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on access control systems and IP-based video equipment, including electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, IP/analog cameras, intercoms, video recorders, and wired/wireless systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Travel to commercial client sites to service, identify, repair, troubleshoot, and detect access control equipment and IP based video security systems. Including but not limited to:
- Electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices
- IP/analog cameras, head-end video recording devices
- Wired/wireless systems and intercom systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently and effectively to ensure company compliance, standards and building codes, as well as company safety policies and procedures
- Execute, document and track service-related issues through ServiceNowin accordance with Federal, State and local regulations
- Interpret electrical schematics, CAD drawings and related documents for use in low-voltage applications
- Provide phone and on-line remote diagnostic support with a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients
- Collaborate and perform tasks with other internalteamsand clients as required
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a company-issued vehicle
- Minimum of two (2) years of field experience in the electronic security industry
- Possession of state-specific licensing or ability to obtain and hold license once hired
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to quickly navigate and oversee the use of multiple systems and applications
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills to document and report important information with all levels of the organization
- Ensure the completion of tasks and projects, both independently and as part of a team, to meet deadlines and contribute to the overall success of the organization
- Available for scheduled “on-call” duties to respond to emergency service tickets/requests
- Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical and electronics aptitude
- Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and work on various ladder heights
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
- Experience in the electronic security industry
- Experience with any of the following: Software House, CCURE,Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacqvision, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh or ONSSI
