As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol in Burgaw, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a government location by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, interacting with staff and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This position requires an Armed Guard Card/License and a valid driver's license, as you may be required to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Interact with visitors, staff, and/or contractors in a professional manner while upholding site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site policies.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
