Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional - Shopping Mall - Unarmed. The Security Professional will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include control access; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law.

• Customer Service Experience
• Bilingual - Fluent English and Spanish

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform security patrols of grounds on foot or in vehicle; document detailed observations of unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Assist staff with de-escalation of situations involving customers and or Employees
• Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must be at least 21 years of age, or higher if required by the state
• Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Active listening skills
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• Able to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
• Write informatively, clearly, and accurately
• Attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• A minimum of 6 months of security Experiance
