Now Hiring Armed Security Officers for Banks in the areas of Miami Beach, FL

As an Armed Bank Protection Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a financial institute such as a bank. This position is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. Our Bank Protection Officers allow us to accomplish our company’s core purpose which is “to service, secure and care for the people and businesses in our communities.” Bank Protection Security Officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests, or employees at the site.

Pay Rate: $21.50/per hour

Location: Miami Beach, FL

Full Time - Mornings and Afternoons (8:30am-5:30am)

*Must have (No Exceptions):

  • Active driver’s license
  • Valid Florida Security License D License and G License

and at least ONE of the following:

  • U.S. Military Service (DD214 Honorable Discharge); or
  • Police/Corrections Academy Certification (U.S. only with Certificate); or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice (120 College Credits)

Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
  • Required Valid Florida Licenses: Driver's License, Security Class D and G License
  • Possess a high school diploma with one of the following to be considered for this role:
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.
  • Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
  • Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
  • Monitors closed circuit television systems and alarms; Reports safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintains awareness and familiarity with the site-specific operations performance manual and post orders.
  • Meets and continues to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers and specific protective device and weapons qualifications.
  • Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with both client employees and guests.
  • Answer questions and assist guests and employees; Answer phones or greet guests/ employees in a professional, welcoming manner.
  • Patrols the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
  • Could be required to work for multiple clients at multiple locations; covering special projects, call offs, vacations, and open shifts.
