As a Security Officer - Armed Concierge in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a Front Desk Security Officer, you will be stationed at the main entrance of a residential property, serving as the first point of contact for residents and visitors. Your responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and assisting with inquiries to help to deter security-related incidents. This is an armed post. You will maintain a visible presence, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with all individuals entering the location. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management at the front desk, following established protocols.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of daily activities and any incidents that occur at the front desk.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and staff to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • New Jersey Armed Security Professional License required for armed roles.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
