As a Elite Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment at a bustling retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to provide reassurance to staff and visitors, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed post, and you will be required to carry out your duties with professionalism and integrity, adhering to all applicable regulations. If you meet the driving requirements, you may also be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
• Assist with crowd management and help to deter theft or other criminal activity within the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possess, or be able to obtain, any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers and specific protective device and weapons qualifications
• Must be willing to be trained on, carry, and utilize, if necessary, a Taser and baton
• Must possess one or more of the following;
  • Minimum of three (3) years of military, law enforcement, or corrections officer experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of employment in an armed security role
  • Current employment with Allied Universal with a minimum of four (4) years armed experience
• Be at least 21 years of age, or higher if required by the state
• Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons
• Be able to work flexible schedules and respond to work assignments with little to no advance notice
• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
• Effective oral and written communication skills
