As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol - Multiple Shifts in Sunnyvale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer in a bustling retail location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and communication. Your presence at the front desk helps to deter security-related incidents and supports a welcoming environment. You will manage access control, assist with visitor inquiries, and respond to situations as they arise. Our team values agility, reliability, and innovation, and we are committed to putting people first while working together with integrity. This post may require driving, so a valid driver's license is necessary.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and visitor logs.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• California Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only, and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
