Security Professional - Armed Utilities Patrol

As a Security Professional - Armed Utilities Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an armed patrol officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This role involves conducting routine patrols, interacting with staff and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will be responsible for upholding a professional environment while carrying out your duties as an armed post. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor access points and observe for any unusual activity within the location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
• Document incidents and observations according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Florida Armed Security Professional License preferred.
• Armed designation required.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
