Security Officer - Lobby Desk Overnights

As a Security Officer - CRE Lobby Desk in Weehawken, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more .

As a Front Desk professional in a commercial real estate location, you will be responsible for monitoring entry points, greeting visitors, and assisting tenants and guests with their inquiries. Your presence at the front desk helps to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will utilize computer or tablet systems as part of your daily responsibilities, contributing to a welcoming and orderly environment. Pay Rate: $18.45 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist visitors, clients, and employees at the front desk, providing a welcoming presence.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies relevant to a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor access to the building, verifying identification and managing visitor logs as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Communicate with building management and emergency services when appropriate, relaying important information as needed.
• Assist with emergency response activities, such as guiding occupants during evacuations or other urgent situations.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while representing the location at the front desk.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
• New Jersey Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
