Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring a Logistics Manager for the Southern CA region. Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring the branch’s equipment needs are met. Ensures there are enough uniforms, tools, and equipment readily available for each event. Keeps all equipment in clean, working order, and works diligently to maintain a clean work area (equipment room and van). The job purpose of Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the business relationship between our clients and third-party logistics providers. Often this position will also work to conduct and supervise Logistics and logistics suppoirt team members at major events.

The salary for this position is $68,640 plus an auto allowance of $135 per pay period.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:


• Manages the supply of logistics-related to the events to support the client and team members in the day-to-day general areas of uniform supply, configuration management, technical requirements identification, installation and maintenance of equipment, safety and documentation development and maintenance.
• Investigates potential risk and other matters of significance and provides and implements solutions.
• Consults with the respective areas within the branch to understand the distribution networks and determines the logistics resources required to support equipment, safety, personnel and maintenance and order equipment appropriately.
• Negotiates with supply sources/vendors to meet technical requirements.
• Directly supervises material storage and distribution, maintaining an accurate inventory count on a monthly basis to prevent lost equipment, and transportation of deliverance of equipment.
• Provides overall guidance and ensures effective execution of logistics support within the filed as well.
• Must be capable of effectively leading and managing a highly functionally diverse branch utilizing a wide span of control.
• Ensures effective management of Logistics Operations assigned radio equipment based on approval of each event that is required to support day-to-day operational requirements.
• Root cause analysis and problem resolution for all logistics operations.
• Ensures equipment is properly tagged and logged for tracking.
• Attends staff meetings/close out meetings and training sessions
• Submits/Approves Vendors invoices for A/P to process.
• Drive company vehicle to transport equipment to the various work sites.
• Performs other duties and assignments as required but limited too.

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Prior logistics and/or managerial experience preferred.
• Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.
• Dedication to high quality customer service delivery and integrity through proven client and customer relationships.
• Highly effective leader with the ability to build strong relationships internally with all levels of the organization and manage under difficult service delivery timeframes.
• Willingness to work events in the evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to deal with internal and external customers and perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely and professional manner.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment while focused on results.
• Must be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology.
• Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion. Must have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions and materials in strictest confidence. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player required.
• Must maintain a valid CA Guard Card.

• Must always maintain a valid driver’s license and remain insurable. Must inform the company of any moving traffic violations or accidents within 12 hours.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use both hands, is frequently required to stand, sit, stoop, talk and hear (communicate verbally in person and via regular telephone equipment), and must be able to read computer screens, correspondence and reports in English.
• The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May be required to climb stairs on an intermittent basis at client sites.
• The employee may be subject to adverse conditions such as rain, cold or heat for prolonged periods of time.
• The employee may be subject to work in a noisy environment that could exceed normal noise levels.
• The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
• Must be able to focus and multi-task in a busy environment, with the ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. Includes being able to effectively manage multiple employees with diverse personalities and engage them to perform at optimum levels.
• Must be able to clearly speak, read and write English.
