As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution environment, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, conducting routine patrols throughout the location, and helping to deter security-related incidents by remaining visible and approachable. You will also provide exceptional customer service, assisting with inquiries and supporting a positive experience for everyone on site. This position primarily involves driving, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises using a company vehicle as needed. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution facility, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals.
• Assist with the implementation of site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by responding to inquiries and offering assistance as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or breaches in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
• Support emergency response activities as appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific emergency procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence at access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and promote a secure environment at the logistics and distribution location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Experience working in limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements is preferred for primarily driving posts.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
