As a Security Officer- Armed Retail Site Patrol - Full Time in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout a retail environment. Your role will help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. This position requires you to be armed and to drive as part of your patrol duties. You will engage with customers and employees, providing outstanding customer service while upholding the values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter, helping to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Monitor activity within the retail environment to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or unauthorized access.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Document and report security-related incidents as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal policies and procedures while performing armed patrol duties.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Must have a Level III Armed Certification if applying for a role in Texas.
  • An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
