As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site Patrol in Danville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while offering outstanding customer service to employees, visitors, and guests. You will also communicate clearly and professionally, responding to questions and assisting individuals as needed. This role is ideal for those who enjoy staying active throughout their shift and are comfortable using computers or tablets to document activity. Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as security breaches, facility hazards, and emergency situations.
• Assist employees, visitors, and contractors with security-related inquiries and directions as needed within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
• Document and communicate incidents, observations, and activities according to site-specific and Allied Universal protocols.
• Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
