As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. You will remain visible and approachable, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to everyone on site. Pay Rate: $16.82 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures for personnel and vehicles entering or exiting the location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including coordinating with local authorities and Allied Universal management when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors to provide information and enforce site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preference given to those with prior experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
