As a Unarmed Security Officer - Access Control in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will play a vital role in helping to create a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and managing entry points, verifying credentials, and assisting with badge access. You will conduct routine patrols throughout assigned areas, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service by addressing questions and offering clear communication. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with staff and visitors to promote a secure environment within the healthcare setting.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client site guidelines regarding access control and security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience providing customer service is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
