As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Bank Site in Greenbelt, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a financial institution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help discourage unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry a firearm and demonstrate a strong commitment to professionalism and integrity at all times. You will interact with employees, visitors, and clients, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of Allied Universal. Pay Rate: $21.27 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, employees, and visitors while upholding Allied Universal standards.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or security-related incidents as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Must have a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
