As a Security Professional - Shopping Center - Part Time in Huntington Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail and mall location, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assisting guests with professionalism and courtesy. This position involves driving as part of your daily patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is required. You will be the first point of contact for many, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to various situations. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
• Assist visitors, tenants, and/or employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Document incidents and security-related activities in written reports according to Allied Universal standards.
• Collaborate with property management and/or law enforcement when necessary to address security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions, and applicants must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
