Security Officer - Chemical Patrol

As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the property, staying visible to help discourage unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns that arise. In this dynamic role, you will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to all. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating company or site vehicles during your patrols. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access within a chemical and petrochemical environment.
• Report and document any incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with site staff and emergency responders as needed to address security-related concerns.
• Remain alert to any potential hazards specific to chemical and petrochemical locations and follow all site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
