As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading retail location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for customers, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and assisting individuals as needed, all while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and communication. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail environment and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity.
• Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, coordinating with local authorities and Allied Universal management as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed during shifts.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to provide information and assistance as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
