As a Security Officer - - Armed Healthcare Patrol - Part Time in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will be required to carry a concealed weapon as part of your duties, demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment at all times. In addition to your patrol duties, you will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with all individuals on site, and represent Allied Universal's core values of agility, reliability, and integrity. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $24.72 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence while armed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and assisting authorized personnel as needed.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as necessary during incidents or emergencies.
• Remain alert to potential risks and hazards within the healthcare location and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general information, providing a visible and approachable Allied Universal presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Must have Act 235 Qualification for Pennsylvania.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
