As a Security Officer - Education Alarm Monitor in Radnor, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and students in an educational environment. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and assisting guests, monitoring access to the premises, and responding to security-related incidents or requests. You will play a vital role in helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting a welcoming atmosphere through exceptional customer service and clear communication. This role requires comfort with using computers or tablets, and experience with alarm panels is a plus. Pay Rate: $18.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist visitors, staff, and students at the front desk, providing a welcoming and professional presence.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and managing visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with all individuals at the location, including during emergency response activities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences at the front desk.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure and orderly environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
