As a Security Officer - Dispatch Patrol in Benton Harbor, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in supporting security-related operations by monitoring communications, coordinating responses, and assisting with incident management. Your responsibilities will include maintaining clear and professional communication with on-site teams, helping to deter security-related incidents through prompt dispatching, and providing exceptional customer service to all personnel and visitors. This position requires driving as part of the post responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and operate communication systems to dispatch security-related personnel and resources as needed within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Receive and document calls for service, incidents, and emergencies, maintaining accurate records and logs.
  • Coordinate with on-site security-related teams to respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures when handling routine and emergency communications.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries and information related to security-related matters.
  • Assist in the implementation of emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and/or site management.
  • Communicate important information to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as required by the situation.
  • Support regular and random patrols by relaying information and tracking patrol activities around the business and perimeter.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have supervisory experience.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required and applicants must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
