As a Security Guard - Armed Retail Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to support a welcoming atmosphere, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This position requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license and the appropriate armed certification are necessary. You will interact with visitors, staff, and customers, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of teamwork, integrity, and reliability that define Allied Universal. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by site procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related situation that may arise within the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a Level III armed certification if required by Texas state law.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
