As a Security Guard - Armed Driving Patrol - Retail Site in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment within a retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to situations as they arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared to act with professionalism and integrity while upholding the values of Allied Universal. You will interact with the public, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication, while working as part of a dedicated team. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate communication and de-escalation techniques.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and loading areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services during incidents and emergencies as required.
• Remain visible and approachable to assist customers, employees, and visitors with security-related concerns or questions.
• Comply with all Allied Universal policies and procedures, as well as any site-specific instructions provided by the client.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess Level III Armed Certification for positions in Texas.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
