As a Security Officer - Government Site - Full Time in Santa Barbara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will have the opportunity to help create a secure and welcoming environment within a government location. Your role will involve conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned premises, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. You will be a key point of contact, demonstrating strong communication skills and professionalism while responding to any security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and address potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities or Allied Universal management.
• Assist visitors and employees by providing information and directions as needed while maintaining access control protocols.
• Document and communicate all patrol findings, incidents, and security-related observations according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
