As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment within a bustling retail and mall location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols of assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. You will actively engage with the public, respond to requests for assistance, and communicate important information as needed. This position requires adherence to Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, and innovation, while always putting people first and working collaboratively with your team. As this is a driving post, you will also be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, following all Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within retail and mall environments.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Assist with controlling access points to the location, verifying credentials as required by site-specific policies.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents.
• Offer directions and assistance to customers, tenants, and visitors to promote a welcoming environment.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and client procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving, in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
