Allied Universal® is looking to hire a Nuclear ISFSI Project Manager - Armed. The Project Manager is responsible for the physical protection of nuclear Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) facilities against intrusion and acts of sabotage and provides supervision and oversight for all on-site security personnel while ensuring the ISFSI is properly staffed. The Project Manager validates and oversees training and has direct oversight of Human Resources and Administrative functions. To support and ensure success in this role, we provide a comprehensive, week-long management onboarding course designed to provide best practices, tools and guidance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the primary AUS contract representative on site and is responsible for compliance with all regulatory, client and AUS/RSS policies, procedures, and directives
  • Assess alarms, investigate, and report suspicious activities and/or circumstances
  • Identify safety and/or fire hazards and make recommendations for improvement
  • Report degradation, deficiencies, and accidents in accordance with current procedures and take appropriate corrective actions as directed by Security Force Supervision
  • Control access of personnel, vehicles and materials into the protected area and maintain appropriate log
  • Perform all site and fire watch patrols and maintain appropriate logs
  • Perform site maintenance as directed to include but not limited to snow removal, garbage removal, housekeeping, and landscaping duties
  • Perform compensatory postings and escort duties as directed by Security Force Supervision and in accordance with current procedures and directives
  • Perform surveillance tests and inspections and test alarm and maintain appropriate logs
  • Work varying shifts to cover a 24-hour/seven-day a week operation including mandatory overtime
  • Participate in security drills, practical exercises and required training programs as directed
  • Maintain periodic qualification of academic requirements including (Radiation protection, Access authorization, Emergency plan, etc.)
  • Maintain periodic qualification of armed response, physical fitness, and weapon requirements, as required for ISFSI assignment.
  • Adhere to regulatory fatigue orders and work hours tracking requirements relative to ISFSI
  • Ensure house-keeping expectations are met
  • Maintain all required qualifications for site access
  • Write required reports, procedures, and keep records per procedure or as directed.
  • Operate or supervise the operation of ISFSI equipment and controls important to safety including ISFSI storage casks, Transfer Cask Basket, and handling activities as applicable
  • Determines ISFSI reportability and operability
  • Supervises Security Officers and Security Supervisors (ISFSI Specialist I and II), Assistant Project Manager (ISFSI Specialist III), Facilities Specialist and Administrative Assistant and performs reviews and evaluations as applicable
  • Ensures the ISFSI is properly staffed
  • Performs 10CFR 50.59 and 72.48 screens as directed
  • Operates the ISFSI Site Diesel Generator
  • Performs duties of Emergency Director for Emergency Plan Implementation per Emergency Plan Procedure
  • Maintains electrical power to all vital ISFSI Site loads
  • Perform labor relations as applicable
  • Validates and oversees training and efficiency of the security force
  • Ensures that inspections, audits, and tours are performed
  • Reviews positive identification and authorization access controls to ensure integration
  • Addresses discipline, violations, safety issues, and employee concerns

COMPENSATION:

Starting at $122,000-$132,000

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary state or federal licensing requirements
  • Prior work experience with the supervision and administration of nuclear/ISFSI security
  • Educational or professional project management experience
