Security Officer Armed Patrol - Non-Driving Job in Albany, Oregon

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol - Non-Driving in Albany, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of manufacturing areas, production spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter in accordance with site policies and applicable requirements.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials, document visitor and contractor entry, and report unusual activity or access concerns to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and equipment inspections while helping to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Possession of an armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
