Security Officer Full Time Badge Issuance Job in Albuquerque, New Mexico

As a Security Officer Full Time Badge Issuance in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain awareness of activity throughout assigned areas. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, checking in visitors and contractors, issuing access badges, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
- Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access points, coordinate with site personnel regarding arrivals and departures, and help maintain orderly traffic flow at gates and loading areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
