Security Officer Full Time Route Patrol Driver Job in Albuquerque, New Mexico

As a Security Officer Full Time Route Patrol Driver in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related needs. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and other assigned locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe activity within the property, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.
- Support a welcoming environment by providing directions, assisting with customer inquiries, and communicating professionally with property representatives and local responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
