Security Officer Access Desk Attendant

As a Security Officer Access Desk Attendant in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Our Access Control Officers help create a welcoming location by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and credentials, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. In this role, you will remain visible, support smooth access for employees and visitors, and deliver strong customer service and communication. At Allied Universal, you will be part of a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document access activity according to location requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access-related issues and reporting unusual activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
